About Dublin Park & Ride

Dublin Park and Ride services are quick, convenient, and easy to pick up, ensuring you get to your flight on time and in good shape. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about getting shuttles to and from the airport in Ireland’s ‘Big Smoke.’

What is Dublin Park and Ride?

Some of the short-term car parking facilities at Dublin Airport offer you the opportunity to park close to the airport for quick arrival and departure. However, some are a little further afield. The big question is, how do you get from your vehicle to the actual airport? It can be tough when you have a lot of luggage and/or small children! The easiest solution is to make use of the Dublin Park and Ride service offered by the airport.

How Does Dublin Park and Ride Work?

Dublin Airport Park and Ride operates in a very similar manner to the type of park and ride you are probably used to in your town or city. You grab a parking spot, unload your luggage, and just wait for a shuttle bus to bring you to the airport – and bring you back when you return home from your trip away.

Where Is It Located?

Dublin Airport offers three long-term car parks and enough space to fit 4,000 short-term stay cars. The short stay options are reasonably close to the airport entrance – Airport A, for example, is only a two-minute walk away from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Car Park C is the other short-term stay option, although a little further afield. It should take you around 2-3 minutes to walk to Terminal 1, and 6 minutes to walk to Terminal 2.

It’s the long-term car parks that you need to check for Park and Ride options at Dublin Airport. We recommend arriving at least 40 minutes before your check-in time, to ensure you have enough time to unload your car, lock up, and d wait for your shuttle bus to take you straight into your terminal of choice.

How Much Does It Cost?

The cheapest option for long-term parking at Dublin Airport is the Holiday Blue car park. It’s perfect for both long stays and holidays, and there is plenty of space. Ideal for Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, the Holiday Blue has a free 24–hour shuttle service that gets you to and from the terminals in 10 minutes.

If you are travelling during the busy summer period, you can also use the Express Green long-term car park – although it’s closed during other times of the year. There are 2,000 spaces and it’s only a short shuttle bus – that takes 5 minutes – from both terminals.

Finally, you have the Express Red car parking option. It’s the closest car park to the airport and holds up to 7,000 vehicles. Expect a transfer time of around five minutes via shuttle bus.
